... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect from 10 am this
morning to 3 PM EST this afternoon...

A coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect from 10 am this
morning to 3 PM EST this afternoon.

Northeast winds gusting between 15 and 20 mph will occur today.
These winds will cause water levels on the coast and the back
bays to run higher than normal on Tuesday. High tides on Tuesday
will occur during the first half of the afternoon and water levels
may reach minor tidal flooding levels at these times.

Recent beach erosion along the shore has eliminated some of the
sand dunes. Winds and wave action may cause flooding in areas
that were protected by these dunes previously.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
Do not park your car in areas that may receive tidal flooding.
