* at 1033 PM EDT... Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain which will cause minor flooding. Overflowing poor
drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Particular concern is centered near the Interstate 95 corridor,
especially in the vicinity of Wilmington and Philadelphia.

* Hourly rainfall of 1 inch can occur in the clusters of heaviest
showers. General storm totals of 1 to 2 inches are expected by
daybreak Monday in the advisory area with isolated 3 or 4 inch
amounts possible.

* This advisory replaces a portion of a previously issued advisory
for Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Philadelphia... Camden... Wilmington... Newark... Middletown... West
Chester... Elkton... Gloucester
City... Centerville... Calvert... Evesham... Mount
Laurel... Norristown... Willingboro... Deptford... Voorhees... Medford..
.West Deptford... Glassboro and Lindenwold.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause ponding of water in
urban areas... highways... streets and underpasses as well as other
poor drainage areas and low lying spots. Do not attempt to travel
across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated... or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

away.
