... The Flood Advisory for minor flooding in poor drainage areas
remains in effect until 430 am EDT for New Castle... northwestern
Kent... Kent... Cecil... Queen Anne's... Camden... Gloucester... Salem...
northwestern Burlington... northwestern Cumberland... Delaware...
southeastern Montgomery... Philadelphia and southeastern Chester
counties...

At 236 am EDT... Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
another renewed area of short duration torrential rain in
northern New Castle County heading into Delaware and Philadelphia
counties. General lighter rain follows from eastern Virginia across
Chesapeake Bay and soon into the eastern Maryland portion of the
advisory.

Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the
advisory area. Nearly 2 inches of rain has fallen in near Glasgow
and New Castle in northern New Castle County and the Christina river
was rising rapidly at coochs bridge.

The heavy rain threat will generally end by around 6 or 7 am.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Philadelphia... Camden... Wilmington... Newark... Middletown... West Chester...
Elkton... Gloucester City... Centerville... Calvert... Evesham... Mount Laurel...
Norristown... Willingboro... Deptford... Voorhees... Medford... West Deptford...
Glassboro and Lindenwold.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated... or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
