Snow...mostly light was occurring late this morning over southeast Pennsylvania, far southwest New Jersey, northern Delaware and the northeast tip of Maryland. Snow will become heavier at times this afternoon, especially over Cecil County of northeast Maryland into far northern Delaware and southeast Pennsylvania, west and southwest of Philadelphia. Snow will melt on most surfaces in Philadelphia and southwest New Jersey during midday because of above freezing temperatures. However snow will accumulate where its near freezing over northeast Maryland, far northern Delaware and southeast Pennsylvania, to the southwest and west of Philadelphia.

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am EST

* locations... southeastern Pennsylvania... portions of northern
and central New Jersey.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches.

* Timing... wet snow may become briefly heavy this afternoon or

* Impacts... accumulating snow will affect travel, especially during
the evening commute. Even the Wednesday morning commute may be
affected by the last batches of snow leaving the area. Road
conditions will likely deteriorate during times of heavier
snowfall rates. Remember... bridges and other elevated surfaces
tend to become slippery first.

* Temperatures... within a few degrees of 30.

* Winds... northeast 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.

... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM EST this

* location... the tidal section of the Delaware River and its tidal

* Coastal flooding... widespread minor flooding is expected around the
times of high tide this afternoon.

* Timing... high tide works its way up the tidal Delaware River
between 1230 PM and 330 PM.

* Impacts... considerable roadway flooding is anticipated. Some roads
may be closed due to high water.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is
expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some Road
closures. Usually... the most vulnerable roadways will flood.

Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal
flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The
water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting
yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged... leading to
costly repairs.
