... Wind Advisory now in effect until 7 PM PST this evening...

The Wind Advisory for northwest San Bernardino County is now in
effect until 7 PM PST this evening.

* Winds: west at 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 40 to 50 mph.

* Timing: winds will increase once again later this morning and
remain gusty into this afternoon before decreasing this evening.

* Locations: Barstow... Daggett... Fort Irwin... Kramer Junction and
Trona.

* Impacts: strong Crosswinds will make for difficult driving
conditions on area roads including interstates 15 and 40 as
well as highways 58 and 395. Areas of blowing sand and dust
are possible resulting in reduced visibility. Any loose
objects outside will be blown away.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that Crosswinds are expected to be strong
enough to make driving difficult... especially for high profile
vehicles. In addition... strong winds over desert areas could result
in briefly lowered visibilities to well under a mile at times in
blowing dust or blowing sand. Use extra caution.
